Hello!

We rode the Santa Fe Trail to the Air Force Academy...then we turned around because we were hungry.

GRRR....Biker Chic

Yes, I AM on a motorcycle....It's actually my neighbor's bike. I saw him taking it out of his garage yesterday and wanted a pic of me on it. He even let me wear the wicked helmet!..Flipping sweet!

"Fox" and "Cupcake"

Jeff and I had a blast Mtn. Biking the Santa Fe Trail!..You can see it in this picture. :)

Santa Fe Trail

I went Mountain Biking with my buddy Jeff. It was just beautiful and sunny!! (I have a sunburn to prove it). We stopped every so often along the way for water breaks....and to snap photos!

Gold's Gym Spinathon for ADA

Saturday I had the incredible opportunity to be a part of the Gold's Gym Spinathon to raise money for the American Diabetes Association. I rode for two hours along side Kris (she is the one in yellow). We had a fantastic time and calculated the ride about 40 miles long! I had a wonderful time and helped support the ADA at the same time!

HAIL!

A couple weeks ago we had a massive hail storm in Colorado Springs. I had just popped out the front door to go running when it started to rain...I figured I would run through it since it makes me feel kinda warrior-like. I was doing great when all of the sudden I felt like a million paint balls were being shot at my face. It wasn't paint balls...it was hail. Yes it hurt like crazy!!! Just take a look at it!!

Say Hello to my Little Friends...

Andrea, me, and Svetlana...these girls are my best buds out here. I could not have been more blessed to have such great friends! And it makes it even better that we all teach combat!! I love you girls and am going to miss you terribly when I move back!

My other Hobby

I love to cartoon. My niece Brittan loves fairies so for Christmas I drew her as a fairy. This beautiful child has been thru two divorces and so much in her life that when she opened it she was sooooo happy! I was so touched that I could make her smile!

BodyFlow Team at Gold's Gym

Here we are! The Bodyflow team from Gold's Gym in Colorado Springs...that's me in the front row to the right (lime green tank). We have a fantastic group of instructors and all get along so well. The members at the gym aren't too shabby either!

Bodycombat team...

I attended BodyCombat training in Broomfield, Colorado about 5 months ago. It was an incredible weekend! 9 hours a day, three days in a row...I could barely walk when I got home! This is my "team" I trained with. That's me in the front row on the bottom, in green. The one to the left of me in black (white shoes) was our trainer Shaunna May. She was an awsome instructor and very inspiring!

Childhood Memories!

So I was driving home from work the other day and hit a red light. I could see some bug purple blob bobbing from side to side to the right of me but couldn't tell quite what it was until the car to the right of me moved..........Holy crap! Do you remember the big purple dude from the McDonald's cookies boxes? There he was! Dancing on the side of the road and I just so happend to have my camera with me that day!

Draper, UT Temple

I had never seen the Draper Temple until just recently. My cute mom took my for a "drive-by" after I ran the Salt Lake marathon. I hope to get there some day to do a session.

Veronica..

Well that's her name..my guitar. Had a friend a long time ago that named her that..why is it a "her" anyway? I've been playing it a lot lately, even singing a little.

A Sunday Walk

I took a walk one Sunday and took along my favorite companion..my camera of course! I came across some rocks and took this photo. I didn't really mean anything to come out of it but it ended up being one of my favorite photos.

The Simple Things in Life...

I love wildflowers. They are so simple but yet have so much meaning. I find them in the most unusual places..rugged, dry, and in wind beaten bushes. They make me realize that there is something beautiful and good in every harsh situation. Sometimes you need to "stop and smell the roses" and the saying goes.

I got Soul...

I've gone thru 6 pairs of running shoes so far since I ran my first marathon. Although it seems to be an "expensive" hobby ($85 every two to four months), I find it somewhat "free" as well. All you have to do it pick a pair that still has "soul" and you are off on yet another journey. I've tried to calculate just how many mile I have run, how many steps I have taken..but I guess that's not what's important. What is important is how it has changed me and molded me into a better person.

Hope...

I love when this happens...the rays from the sunset shine through, breaking the clouds apart after a reshreshing rainstorm. I sat there looking at it and it gave me a little hope for my life. It was almost a little gift from heaven saying, "This is for you for making it thru just one more day."

My Bike!!

This is my bike. It is also my freedom, my need for speed, my butt kicker, and my getaway. I never know just how far I will or can go when I hop on, but it always seems to take me on an incredible journey no matter when I end up.

Two Handsome Boys!

The one is the red shoes is my nephew Trevor. The one to the right is my borther's girlfriend's little boy Rowan. They are attached at the hip...oh, and did I mention they love army gear? Note: Rowan's "safety pack" was full of all sorts in "interesting" items.

Up, Up, and away!

During my most recent visit to Salt Lake, I happened to be outside with my dog and there was this massive hot air balloon floating in the sky! It was just above my parents house when I snapped this photo. Everyone in the neighborhood must habe heard the roar of the fire keeping it afloat because they too were all on their porches snapping photos!

Tell them where to find it...good one.

I came across this sign the other day when I was at the trailhead of a hike. Seriously? You might as well leave your cell phone, purse, and whatever else on the hood of your car!!

KIA!!! BodyCombat!

So I've been teaching Bodycombat for a few months now...its nothing like teaching Yoga which I am so used to, but is incredible for releasing stress! This is Svetlana. She is my friend from Ukraine whom I have gotten to know pretty well. We team teach together sometimes and have a blast! One word about this photo...intimidation! :) Also, we just finished teaching before this photo was taken so we are really gross...sorry!

Hiking in Garden of the Gods with Sam

I love Garden of the Gods. It seems that every Friday afternoon I find myself wandering trails, climbing rocks, or just sitting under a tree with my so called "four-legged" man. (He keeps me company).

Denver, Colorado Temple

A couple weeks ago I had the opportunity to do a session in the Denver, Colorado temple. It was anamazing experience and the temple was so beautiful! It is a very small temple compared to those in Salt Lake, but nonetheless just as inspiring!

Mom's Garden..

I found this beauty in my mom's garden back home in Salt Lake. Although it isn't technically a "wildflower," I still thought it was a magnificent photo!

Just the Right Moment!

I spent an entire week at my parent's cabin in Star Valley, Wyoming. My nephew Izack and I went out for a walk down the dirt road one day. We came across a butterfly resting on a dandelion and caught this fantastic photo! I am still learning all about my new camera (I've actually had it since February!) and all the fancy things it does!

Nature's Beauty...

Last weekend I took Sam to Garden of the Gods Park. As we were meandering down the trail I came across the most beautiful yellow flower attached to a cactus. I'm still not quite sure what it is called, but am researching in my many wildflower books to find out.
